Job Description PIZZAIOLO 2ND COOK Main duties: - assisting the kitchen Management in achieving Company goals. - assuring excellence in pizza production. - putting emphasis on cost control. - providing consistently speedy, professional and courteous service. - demonstrating good leadership through staff motivation and training. - assisting the Sous Chef in arranging parties and special functions. - producing professionally typed documents as a form of on board and ship to shore communication. - being on duty in time and well groomed and wearing a clean uniform. - dedicating special attention to personal hygiene. - preparing all the ingredients necessary to pizza production inclusive of dough, sauces and garnish. - assuring that the pizzeria is in perfect condition before start service. - cleaning and sanitation must be always perfect. - knowing all hygiene and sanitations rules and regulations relative to clearing and disinfection of the working place, of the tools and container, to the conservation of the different ingredients. - assuring the correct disposal of cleaning products and tools. - receiving the order from the water and prepare the pizza following the Company standards. - preparing the food and tools request necessary for the service and pass them to the Sous Chef. - proposing new ideas and initiative to improve the quality and service. - helping in maintaining the production cost in within the given budget, avoiding un necessary wastage and spoilage. - making sure that all the equipment is in order and working properly. - reporting to the Sous Chef any technical or human problem. - accomplishing the above tasks in accordance with established standards and passengers satisfaction. - maintaining highest level of sanitation and personal hygiene according to USPH rules and regulations. - attending daily meetings with the Sous Chef. - accomplishing his accountabilities in his own Department according to Company standards and assures efficient food service. - minimising food spoilage and utilises food surpluses. - ensuring that the items prepared, displayed and served are meeting Company standards; also ensures a flawless presentation. - ensuring that all requests are executed to the fullest satisfaction of the passengers or of the station cook according to established standards and policies. - performing other duties if necessary. - working overtime if requested. - being aware that all working hours on board are subject to change, according to the ship’s schedule. - being aware of all fire, safety and emergency procedures. - cleaning and sanitises his station according to V.S. standards.
High School Degree Good Knowledge of English Preaviuos working experience as Pizzaiolo Preavious Working experiences abroad the country
